Shri Pramod Kumar
General Manager, Central Organization for Railway Electrification
Shri Pramod Kumar, 1984 batch of officer of Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) assumed the charge of General Manager of Central Organization for Railway Electrification (CORE) on 08/11/2022. He joined Railway in June, 1986 and have a rich experience of 36 years of working on Indian Railways.
He has previously worked in Junior & Senior scale at Chittaranjan Locomotive Works. He also worked in various disciplines of Electrical Engineering at Jhansi Division of North Central Railway and Jabalpur Division of West Central Railway. He worked as Divisional Railway Manager, Moradabad, Chief Project Director, Jaipur and Additional General Manager, South East Central Railway. He pioneered the setting up of Electric Loco Shed at New Katni Junction. One of his notable contributions was commissioning of the first high rise OHE of Indian Railway, while posted at Railway Electrification, Jaipur.
Apart from his vast experience in technical issues related to domain knowledge, Shri Kumar has a vast experience in General Administration.
Under the able guidance of Shri Kumar, CORE will continue to march towards goal of 100% electrification in Mission Mode.
