At present 1030 Books are available in the Hindi Library of Railway Electrification/Chennai Project.

Activities of Rajbhasha Department (2022-2023)

  • On 17.01.2022 Rajbhasha Quiz was conducted through online in Chennai project and prizes were distributed to all the winners.
  • A virtual meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee was conducted on 24.01.2022. After the meeting biography of famous Hindi Poetess Meera Bhai and some portions of poems were readout.
  • On 26.01.2022, on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, the Chief Project Director read out the message of the General Manager/CORE in English as well as in Hindi.
  • During the month of February, completed the work related to presenting the Cash Award and personal Pay to the employees who passed the Pragya Hindi Examination.
  • During the month of March, the main subject and covering letters of PCDO - periodic monthly confidential demi-official letters being sent by each section to CORE office are translated and typed in bilingual format.
  • On 25.04.2022, the quarterly meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Project Director. During the meeting, biography of famous poetess Subhadra Kumari Chauhan and some parts of her poetic talents were highlighted and readout.
  • On 24.04.2022 after the Meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee, Chief Project Director distributed the cash award to the officers and employees who have done meritorious work in Hindi.
  • During the month of May, the work of typing the list of 1030 books available in the Hindi library was done and it was properly arranged number-wise, subject-wise in the cupboard. Other than this, Hindi translation and typing of organizational chart, telephone numbers of Railway Electrification/Chennai Project was done for uploading the same on the official website.
  • On 15.06.2022 Hindi workshop was conducted on the subject ‘e-office and Hindi’ and twenty employees have participated in this workshop.
  • On 27.07.2022 a quarterly meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee was conducted under the chairmanship of the Chief Project Director. After the meeting Rajbhasha quiz was conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners.
  • During the month of August, a special drive was conducted to increase the participation of the employees in various Hindi competitions in connection with Hindi week celebrations.
  • 15.08.2022 on Independence Day after hoisting the national flag Independence Day message was read out by the Chief Project Director in English as well as in Hindi.
  • Hindi Day was celebrated on 14.09.2022 and Chief Project Director read the Home Minister's Hindi Day message and Dy.Chief Rajbhasha Adhikari read the Railway Minister’s Hindi Day Message among officers and employees who were present. Hindi Week was celebrated for a week from 14.09.2022. In this connection Hindi noting and drafting Competition, Hindi Dictation Competition, Translation Competition, Hindi Reading and Handwriting Competition, Questions related to official language, Elocution Competition, Debate Competition, etc. were conducted.
  • On 26.09.2022 Hindi week closing ceremony was celebrated. On that day The Chief Project Director read out the message of the Honorable Railway Minister and distributed the cash award to the winners of various Hindi competitions. Various Cultural Programme were presented by the officers and employees of RE/Chennai Project.
  • During the month of October, for the convenience of the employees one hundred official language questions and answers were prepared in bilingual to upload in the website. Work related to payment of subscription for the Hindi magazines was completed.
  • On 07.11.2022 Meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee was conducted. During the meeting Official Language and General knowledge Quiz was conducted under the Chairmanship of Dy Chief Rajbhasha Adhikari. At the end of the meeting Chief Project Director distributed the award to the winners of Quiz. During this month work related to upload the activities of Rajbhasha in core website was done in bilingual. The work of uploading the photos related to the official language programmes in the website was also done.
  • During the month of December a workshop will be organised on the topic Hindi Conversation.
 

Year 2021

On 25.10.2021 Chennai project has received two prizes in the Hindi competitions organized at CORE/Prayagraj level.

  1. Smt.Uma Ganesh, AFA/RE/Chennai Project  has secured second prize in Hindi Noting and Drafting Competition.
  2. Shri.Premdan Horo, Sr. Section Engineer/Electrical  has secured third prize in Hindi Essay competition.
